Mr. Max Michelson, Holocaust Survivor, shared his powerful and riveting story with 7th and 8th grade students on May 30th. The audience was mesmerized as Mr. Michelson recalled his 4 years living in a ghetto and concentration camps as a teenager. Mr. Michelson has also written a book, City of Life, City of Death: Memories of RIga, and he is a retired engineer who lives in Newton. Coats for Kids Pizza Party
Thanks to everyone that supported our Coats for Kids Coat Drive. Check out some pictures from our Pizza Party Celebration. The students had a pizza "snack" sponsored by Anton's Cleaners on Friday. It was a great way to finish out the week. Thank you to Anton's Cleaners, Millis House of Pizza and Poland Spring Water.
Middle School MCAS Schedule Change
Due to the snow storm on 3/19/13 there have been some changes to the MCAS schedule for next week. The Department of Education is requiring that all 7th graders take the ELA Long Composition on Monday, March 25, 2013. Grade 7 and 8 will finish the ELA portion of the MCAS on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28, 2013. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes.
Thank you,
Andrew Zitoli
Marie and Gregor - The Science Team
Our friends, Marie and Gregor, are hanging out near the middle school office this month. Each of our science teachers are taking turns setting up the display to let the students know what is going on their classrooms during the school year. All the students can walk by the office and check out the display. Marie and Gregor are getting the students excited about science.
