On Thursday evening April 17th a celebration of Gr. 7 Spanish teacher Alaina Seymour was hosted by Barnes and Noble for the “My Favorite Teacher” contest. Ryan Locke and his family attended as well as Superintendent Nancy Gustafson to honor Ms. Seymour for her dedication to her students and the special outreach she does to support them academically, in extracurriculars and social/emotional growth. Ryan wrote a beautiful essay honoring Ms. Seymour and read it at the ceremony.
We will be performing upgrades and maintenance on the school's network connection on Thursday, April 24. All network services, including this web site, Powerschool, scholarship access, and other hosted services, will be unavailable on that day.
On April 10th, Millis High School Counselors, Mark Awdycki and Erika Warren, handed out the Program of Studies to 8th Grade students and explained the process of course selection for the 2014-15 school year.
In order to consolidate the flow of information to you, we will collect district listserve messages and send them once a week on Mondays unless information is of an urgent nature.

The Millis Public Schools is now accepting applications for non-resident students in grades K-5 and in Gr. 7 to participate in the School Choice program for the 2013-2014 school year.
On Wednesday, April 9th, Millis High School is partnering with Medway High School to offer a Mini College Fair for students to network with admissions professionals. Students will have a 45 minute block in the morning to come down from their classes to meet with admissions reps from all over the area. We have heard great things over the years about how our students conduct themselves during these fairs so let's keep the tradition alive!
Parents and students are invited to attend a free presentation about paying for college, offered through MEFA, the Commonwealth’s Authority on planning, saving and paying for college. An experienced MEFA representative will provide an overview of the college billing cycle, options for paying the bill and understanding financial aid award letters.
