The Millis Public Schools are proud to have been highlighted in this recent Boston Globe article. A reporter had contacted the Department of Education and someone there suggested they spotlight Millis as an affordable community where innovative things are happening in the schools! Due to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, administrators and other staff, our reputation for high quality and innovative programs is widespread!  While we could have spoken about many of the highly effective programs that Millis offers such as the Spanish Immersion and FLES (Foreign Language in Elementary School) programs, the tools of the Mind Program in our early grades, the integration of engineering design throughout the grades, the award winning, Arts, Music and TV Production programs, the district-wide social-emotional screening and support we provide PK-12, the robust Computer Science and programming curriculum as well as the Maker spaces and STEAM projects that abound,  we chose to highlight how we are deepening our approach to personalizing learning to be even more student-centered and focused on meetings learners where they are, tapping into what engages them and supporting them to grow as much as possible!  Check out the article here:
