This new service from COMCAST helps to bring fast, affordable Internet ($9.99 per month) to more students and families.

Today, the Internet is no longer just a convenience, it has become essential for success. Unfortunately, there are still too many students without Internet Service at home - creating a barrier to academic achievement.

As the nation's leading Internet provider, COMCAST wants to help make the Internet more accessible to more students and their families. that's why, in consultation with the FCC, they have created a new program called INTERNET ESSENTIALS.

INTERNET ESSENTIALS AT A GLANCE:

INTERNET ESSENTIALS makes affordable home internet available to the students and families who need it the most. Plus as part of the program, families can buy a low cost computer and receive free Internet training.

Households with children who receive free lunches through the National School Lunch Program and meet other criteria are eligible for this program.
