ADMISSION AND TUITION 

Admission to the Millis Extended Day Program is granted on a first-come, first-served basis when new student enrollment begins each winter.  The date varies each year and is published on our home page.  Priority will be given to current students followed by applicants attending full-time, siblings, and Millis municipal employees.  There is a minimum commitment to the program of two days a week.  You may secure admission, or a place on the waiting list, by filling out the application for enrollment and returning it, along with the registration fee, to the Millis Extended Day Program, c/o Clyde F. Brown School, Park Road, Millis, MA 02054. Applications are available at each site and also on-line.

The registration fee for students is $35.00 for one child and $10.00 for each additional child in a family.  The registration fee is not applied toward the tuition and is refundable only if your child is not accepted into the program.  Upon acceptance to the program, prior payment of the first two weeks tuition is required before the start of school. 

Before School, Half-Day Kindergarten and Afterschool Programs' tuition is to be paid on a bi-weekly basis and is due on the Friday preceding each two-week period. Students enrolled in the Childcare Center and Pre-Kindergarten Program will pay on a monthly basis. Tuition bills are not sent to each family; a payment schedule is provided at the beginning of the school year and is also available on the school web site. Childcare Center and Pre-Kindergarten Program payments are due the first of each month.  Parents are responsible to remit their payment on the due date. Payments may be brought to the building or mailed to the director. All payments must be by personal check, bank check or money order; cash will not be accepted. In addition to mailing, or bringing to school, payments may be made through your bank on-line by listing the payee as Millis Extended Day Program, c/o Clyde F. Brown School, Park Road, Millis, MA  02054.  The student's name should be included in the memo line of the payment.  A late payment fee of $5.00 will be assessed for all payments that are 30 days overdue. Repeated offenses of late payment will result in withdrawal from the program.  Parents/guardians are responsible for providing two weeks notice is required for voluntary withdrawal from the Program.

Tuition is to be paid by ALL students.   Upon enrollment you are agreeing to pay for the contracted amount of time for the entire school year.  This means that even in the event of illness, school/family vacation, or other absences, you are responsible for the full contracted amount.  You are also responsible for the full contracted amount even if the program is closed due to inclement weather or in observation of holidays. 

If the tuition bill of a family with more than one school-age child in the program is $75.00, or more, per pay period, there will be a 20% discount on the tuition of the second child (and additional children) or the child whose tuition costs the least of the two.  There are no discounts on the C.I.T. tuition rate.  

For children in the early childhood classrooms (Childcare Center and Pre-K) the sibling discount is applied if the family's tuition bill is greater than $150.00 a monthly pay period.  These students do not pay for school vacation weeks, but are responsible for their monthly contracted amount, which will be detailed on a tuition statement issued after beginning the Program.
